TenderAI: why we believe in Vertical AI applied to Procurement

In recent years we have seen how the conversation around artificial intelligence has been dominated by large generalist models: ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude... all examples of Horizontal AI. Powerful, versatile tools, capable of responding to a huge range of topics. However, when we land in the field of business processes, especially in critical and regulated areas such as Procurement, that breadth becomes a weakness: lack of context, risk of errors, absence of traceability.

This is where Vertical AI makes sense: solutions designed to exceptionally solve a specific problem within a specific domain. They don't seek to do everything, but to do very well what hurts an organization the most.

The reality in Procurement and Contracting

With this vision, TenderAI was born, an AI agent created by AyGLOO together with Grupo Mashfrog. It doesn't pretend to be a "chat" that answers everything, but a workflow assistant (Workflow AI): integrated into the phases of the contracting cycle, it automates the generation of RFI/RFP/RFQ, compares proposals with multi-criteria scoring and offers complete traceability for clearer and more defensible decisions.

More than automating: providing clarity and governance

Much is said about intelligent process automation (Intelligent Process Automation), the evolution of RPA. TenderAI fits into this trend, but with a key nuance: it doesn't limit itself to replicating clicks or fixed rules, but adds contextual intelligence. Detects inconsistencies in proposals, extracts risk indicators, scores certificates and references. That is, it not only accelerates, but also provides evidence and transparency.

Architecture matters (and a lot)

In our experience, the value of an AI is not only in what it promises, but in how it is deployed. That's why we designed TenderAI on cloud architecture optimized in Google Cloud, with a serverless approach, parallelization techniques and orchestration with tools like n8n. This allows the solution to scale automatically, integrate quickly with existing systems and be sustainable over time.

The change we see coming

For us, TenderAI is an example of the direction AI will take in the coming years: less hype, more specialization. Solutions that don't seek to imitate the breadth of a generalist model, but to solve the bottlenecks of each department from the root. In Procurement, this means more agile tenders, clearer evaluations, less operational burden and better governance.

In short: Vertical AI applied to critical processes. That's the bet. And we believe it's the most realistic way for artificial intelligence to stop being a promise and become tangible impact.
